This isn't the first fansite I have ever decided to make, but so far it's the only one I've actually finished! I've dabbled in the idea before, but none of the other projects I undertook ever lasted. Many of them were simply too grand and idealistic to ever be carried out, I suppose. Ha! But anyway, I felt a need to expand my domain into other types of sites; to deviate from my usual introspective works and try something more fun; something more, shall we say, conformist? ^^ But long before that, my boyfriend developed an obsession/fell into a phase in which he simply could not walk past the Soul Calibur demo at the store without giving it a go. At first I was apprehensive, because fighting games aren't really my thing (unless you count Dynasty Warriors? O_O), but when he lent it to me I quickly fell in love with Talim.

Thus, Windcharmer. The name itself is one of Talim's fighting stances. Try as I might, I couldn't get away from naming my Talim site something that didn't have the word "wind," in it. Tch. It's okay though, I thought Windcharmer was a nice compromise between conformity and noncomformity. And it makes plenty of sense; after all, Talim is all about the wind, and she's truly a charmer. Such a sweetheart, that Talim.

I was disappointed to find that there weren't many Talim artworks on the web that I wanted to work with, but I did manage to find a beautiful one through the Google image search engine. I ran it through Photoshop, made a few well-placed strokes with the default watercolor brushes, and voila! I really like this layout too, it's so grungy but somehow very delicate at the same time. Font used is Georgia, and the quote is from Talim of course.
