Soul Calibur III, which will be exclusive to Sony's Playstation 2, is slated for release in the United States on October 25, 2005. Among many improvements and additions, there will be three new characters along with the eighteen returning characters from Soul Calibur's previous editions. According to what I read at Namco's SC3 site, they have added a very detailed "Create-A-Soul," mode in which you can design your own character, choose his or her class, and play out your own story. But of course, you can also look forward to more Talim! I've also read that her relationship with Yunsung will be further explained, and that they might become...gasp! Romantically involved? Hmm. Well, from what I've seen, this sequel is one to look forward to! Granted, the new characters are a bit strange (huge black guy, weird Tinker Bell wannabe, and a geisha-lookalike who fights with a sword concealed in an umbrella???), but I'm definitely excited about the new features and surprises!
